> CAM4HOME,
Collaborative Aggregated Multimedia for Digital Home
The
objective of the CAM4HOME project is to create a metadata-enabled content
delivery framework to allow end-users and commercial content providers to
create and deliver rich multimedia experiences. These experiences are based on
a novel concept of collaborative aggregated multimedia that is the main focus
of the CAM4HOME project. Collaborative aggregated multimedia (CAM)
refers to aggregation and composition of individual multimedia contents into a
content bundle that may include references to content-based services and can be
delivered as a semantically coherent set of content and related services over
various communication channels.

> BUGYO
BEYOND, Building
security assurance in open infrastructures, beyond
The BUGYO
project demonstrated use and feasibility of an infrastructure in order to gain
confidence about security of Telco based services. BUGYO Beyond will go further
by addressing advanced concepts and tools to adapt to evolving and ubiquitous
Telco infrastructures. This extension will involve a multi-operator (fixed and
mobile) and service providers. BUGYO Beyond will provide means:1) for enhancing
BUGYO operational methodology/system, covering questions like self-developed
metrics (in correlation with the normalisation and certification), patterns of
metrics, patterns of evaluation, modelling aids (tools, guidelines...), 2) for
comparing and exchanging assurance information between different operators
including normalisation and standardisation of assurance measures and
(aggregated) levels.3) take into account issues emerging from evolving and
ubiquitous infrastructure and address them by dynamic model evolution and
(semi-)automatic probe deployment

> B21,
Broadcast for the 21st Century
The B21C project (Broadcast for the 21st
Century) aims to constitute a task force, building on the works and reflections
of the DVB Forum, with the goal to elaborate the technical propositions for the
future of Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB). Goals of the project are 1) To
contribute to the success of DVB-H network deployment world-wide, (by defining
DVB-H optimum parameter settings for indoor/outdoor pedestrian reception), 2)
To participate to the elaboration of hybrid satellite/terrestrial broadcast
networks, sustaining the work of the DVB-SSP adhoc groups, thus insuring ubiquitous
availability of DVB H services worldwide, 3) To constitute a Technical Task
Force actively contributing to the work engaged by the DVB-T2 adhoc group
related to the future of the European DVB Terrestrial transmission system.

> TIGER2, Togehter IP, GMPLS and Ethernet
Reconsidered - II
TIGER2 is a
continuation and an enrichment of the TIGER1 project. TIGER1, which ended in
June 2008, has set the bases of an integrated network architecture, combining
tightly and efficiently the IP, GMPLS and Ethernet technologies in
metropolitan, carrier-class environments. The purpose of TIGER2 is to build on
the outcomes (specifications, evaluations, partnerships) of TIGER1 and also to
explore new horizons. TIGER2 will capitalize on the architectural and
functional specifications, plus the benchmarking of the "TIGER solution"
designed during the TIGER1 project. For this reason, TIGER2 is undeniably a
continuation of TIGER1 but also a project that explores new networking issues.
