The Institut Télécom plays a significant role in both training and research networks.

Many agreements are thus forged with prestigious foreign universities, in particular for the awarding of dual qualifications.
The proactive internationalisation policy implemented by the schools in the Group should pave the way for a gradual increase in the number of these exchange agreements.

In addition to bilateral agreements entered into by each school, they are also present in major networks such as EUNICE, ERASMUS, SOCRATES, etc.
As regards research, a number of exchange and collaborative agreements have already been put together with universities and other major research organization: in fact, the Institut Télécom plays a significant role in European research programs.

All the Group's grandes écoles (Télécom ParisTech, Télécom Bretagne, Télécom SudParis and TELECOM Business School) belong to the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles and take part in committees whose role is to examine the future and directions of the grandes écoles.

In parallel, the Group has close ties with the Groupe des Ecoles des Mines.

In the field of research, the Institut Télécom has concluded special partnerships with major research organizations , such as the CNRS and the INRIA , as well as major players in the field, both operators and manufacturers.

The Institut Télécom intends to develop strong links with the regions in an international network of cooperation and influence in the field of higher education in Information and Communication Technology. In addition, with a presence in several regions of France, the schools in the Group play an important role at a regional level.

In Paris , where training opportunities abound and research activities are especially dynamic, Télécom ParisTech has been able to forge academic partnerships with the leading Parisian institutions and some key research organization. Through its active presence within the Paritech network and the Mines-Ponts-Télécom common entrance examination process, Télécom Paris is asserting itself as one of the leading grandes écoles in Paris.

The setting up in Brest and Rennes of Télécom Bretagne fits in with the regional development plan, which has a strong focus on telecommunications. Greatly involved at a regional level, the school enjoys close relations with other training centers, research companies and bodies located in the region. At a local level it also plays a significant role in existing networks, in particular through its scientific popularisation initiatives.

Located at the heart of the Evry science and technology park , Télécom SudParis and TELECOM Business School, the two schools of the Institut National des Télécommunications (National Telecommunications Institute), enjoy an exceptional scientific and industrial environment with the proximity of Génopôle, Ariane Espace and companies such as Hewlet Packard and Coca Cola. The INT is very involved in local projects, lending its expertise, for example, to the creation of a high-speed local loop network.

Located in the science campus of the University of science and technology of Lille, TELECOM Lille1 has developed strong relations with businesses in a dynamic region at the crossroads of Europe.

Within the Sophia Antipolis science and technology park , the 'Telecom Valley' of France, the Institut EURECOM is characterised by its international vocation and strong partnership with industry.
