TRAINING

The training offered by the Institut Télécom is characterised by the pedagogical autonomy of its schools (Télécom ParisTech, Télécom Bretagne, Télécom SudParis, TELECOM Business School), its  subsidiaries (EURECOM, TELECOM Lille1) and its associate schools (TELECOM Saint-Etienne, ENSPS Strasbour, ENSEIRB-MATMECA Bordeaux, Sup'Com Tunis, INP-ENSEEIHT Toulouse ENSSIE Evry and ESIAL Nancy. This pedagogical autonomy allows them to define their own admission procedures, develop their own courses and to issue their own degrees.

Over and beyond their features, which form the basis of the Institut Télécom's wealth, the group's schools share a training content focusing on the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technology). This is approached from a scientific and technological viewpoint, in the context of the training of engineers or within the economic and application perspectives of the school of management:

  • Communication support technologies (components, antennae, propagation, etc.)
  • Signal and coding processing
  • Communication networks and systems
  • Computing and information systems
  • Services and uses (Internet, multimedia, etc.)
  • Socio-economics of ICT
  • Management and business creation
  • Living languages including English
  • Communication and personal development

Teaching programs combine lectures and supervised work (directed work, practical work, projects, dissertations) supplemented by work placements in a company or research laboratory. There is an increasingly international outlook as demonstrated by the high numbers of foreign students in the schools. Many work placements are located throughout the world and teachers from abroad are regularly welcomed.
