Grants are awarded within the context of the Institut Télécom's initiatives to promote innovative business start-ups.They are co-financed by the Fondation TELECOM and are awarded by a panel which meets at least once a year to select from the business start-up projects put forward. These grants can only be awarded to project leaders housed in or supported by the school incubators or laboratories of the Institut Télécom.

On 12 June 2008, 8 start-up projects received grants from Institut Télécom for amounts ranging from €4,000 to €8,000

EYES TRIPLE SHUT / Télécom ParisTech / Télécom Bretagne : Liquid crystal shutters for active glasses to be used in 3D digital cinema.

INT13 / Télécom & Management SudParis : int13 is a development studio working on games and native applications for Smartphones. The firm uses in-house middleware to target all phones equipped with open operating systems.
