Networks and partnerships for business start-ups

Business start-up news

The actions of the Institut Télécom to assist the creation of new businesses are incorporated within an environment of networks and partnerships formed both locally and internationally, in a variety of fields (financial, educational, etc.)

A network system

Through its participation in various networks, the Institut Télécom facilitates access to outside expertise for project leaders, if this expertise cannot be found internally. Third parties (consultants, temporary personnel, etc.) supply their business start-up experience or a specific response on an advanced subject, such as taxation, civil law or social affairs. Former students associations make a valuable contribution, particularly when it comes to sharing experiences, tutoring business heads, finding funding and, more generally, links with industry. The Institut Télécom’s relationships with the other Grandes écoles (Ecoles des Mines, etc.) and Universities – both French and international - (UTC, UPC Barcelona, Politecnico di Torino, Durham Business School, USTEB, AGH, Sherbrooke University in Quebec, etc.) allow the sharing of knowledge and experience in this field, and even the setting up of common tools. GET’s activities are also carried out in liaison with other research centers and organisations for innovation and business creation (ANVAR, APCE, etc.).

Regional and local actions

In addition to their national and international approach, the Institut Télécom’s schools also try to play a full and active role in local and regional dynamics and to reinforce these:

It is committed to providing tailored, diversified responses to the economic development issues raised.

Each of the schools is involved in regional multidisciplinary incubators in Brittany (EMERGYS), the southern Ile de France region (IDFI) and Paris (AGORANOV ) and, in particular, supports a number of their projects.

Financial partnerships

To better assume the financial responsibilities imposed by training, study and support programs, the Institut Télécom develops financial partnerships with institutional and economic organisations (local and regional authorities, Fondation TELECOM, Caisse des Dépôts, ANVAR , France Télécom, European consortiums, etc.) on a local, regional, national and international level.
