Archives are tools for historical research:
- list of the various bodies that have successively run the telecommunications schools
- a chronological summary of the major dates in telecommunications teaching
- list of directors who have successively directed the telecommunications schools
- other places to find 'resource' archives
- a few books dealing with the history of telecommunications
Our archives have made a contribution to the compilation of historical works.
An example: writing of the book: 'Les Télécoms: Histoire des Ecoles supérieures des télécommunications' ('Telecoms: a History of Telecommunications Schools') by Michel Atten, François du Castel and Marie Pierre, published in 1999 by Hachette (ISBN 2.01.170558.4).
Knowledge of the organisations successively in charge of teaching and research in the field of telecommunications makes it possible to identify the source of archives for the corresponding period.
